Fraction Operations Reference Sheet
This is a two-page reference sheet for fractional operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It is organized by operation, and lists the steps for solving different fractional operation problems involving: fractions and fractions, fractions and whole numbers, and mixed numbers.

Fractions Made Easy....They way students understand!
I generated this strategy when I was younger and couldn't do fractions. I teach this to my students in middle school, high school, and college and 99% of them love it and ask "why haven't we been shown this before?" This strategy works with any fraction problem and works best with equations. Most students cannot solve an equation with fractions. Fractions: Using M & M's for Addition of Rational Expressions with Answer Key
After struggling for years to get kids to relearn how to add fractions correctly, I came up with a "game" they could use to learn how to do it using M & M's. (Candy has its place in our educational system!)
The main idea is to set up equations using M & M's: instead of writing factors like (x+3) or (2x -1), they use factors like "R" (for red), "G" for green, and so forth.
The first step is to reduce each fraction as much as possible. (If all terms "cancel out," then a 1 remains.)
