RESPECT model of expectations with pictures and keywords
This RESPECT model supplies a common language of exactly what respect means when modeling appropriate behavior in schools. It also reflects appropriate behavior choices for lifelong learners. Each letter has a picture and theme relating to respect with the expected behavior. Because of the pictures, it could be used in as young as Kindergarten classrooms and as old as high school classrooms or hallways.

When a student is unkind have them choose a random act of kindness from the jar to complete. Great way to replace bad behaviors with good ones. Instead of punishing them, have them experience the joy of doing something for someone else and hope that it becomes a habit!

This is an easy checklist for students who have difficulty monitoring their own behavior in class or struggle with anxiety and don't know how to manage their time. It is an easy way for teachers to cue students with positive reinforcement. Teachers would have to prompt students to check off the boxes in 5 minute increments.
