Cooperative Learning Strategy cards

These are cooperative learning strategies created by Kagan. I simply made a reference card to introduce to the students and post on your wall for future reference. Friday Folder with Behavior Chart/Classroom Work Habits

This worksheet shows a cross-section of an animal cell. Students are to use the word bank to write the correct word next to each definition. There are five words and five definitions. I use this with my 7th and 8th graders who work on an alternate curriculum. This is also a great review for homework.

Printed Post-It Note Template
I use this template to print directly on post-it notes using my printer at home. It's a great way to send home reminders, or positive feedback to parents that will catch their eye. Modified Physical and Chemical Change Cut and Paste; Special Ed
This is a 2-page worksheet for students in an inclusive science class learning about the physical and chemical changes. I used this for my 6th grade students who learn at about a first grade level.
The worksheet has two columns on the first page. One is labeled physical reactions and the other is labeled chemical reactions. There are six reactions on the second page. Quiet Please! A Noise Pollution Activity
Students conduct an activity to determine the most effective way to control noise using shoe boxes and sound-absorbing materials. In groups, students will use one of 8 materials assigned by the teacher to sound-proof the inside of a shoebox. They will place a timer inside the box and test how far away the ringing can be heard, record the results, and then graph the data gathered.
