This Venn diagram is a visual showing the topics that are learned in 8th grade math and Algebra 1. Many topics show up in both classes, but they are taught to different depths. For example, linear relationships are a part of both. In 8th grade math, students usually focus on understanding rates, initial values, and representing relations in slope-intercept form. In Algebra 1, students go deeper with exploring standard form, point-slope form, and distinguishing linear from quadratic and exponenti

Horizontal and Vertical Number Line Templates

These free vertical and horizontal number line templates can be used for a variety of purposes. Using both vertical and horizontal number lines is a great precursor to graphing on a coordinate plane. It is also a great way to visually represent different types of real-world problems. Each number line includes numbers from -20 through 20. You can tape the pieces together to display in the classroom, or fold them for use with an interactive notebook.Related Products:**Full-year Curriculum Packs**A

I created this document by compiling a list of the standards for CCSS Traditional Secondary Math Pathway using Appendix A. I color coding them based on CCSS Algebra 1, CCSS Geometry, and CCSS Algebra 2. Then I created a list for CCSS Course 1, CCSS Course 2, and CCSS Course 3 that shows where the standards from the traditional pathway fall for the international pathway. This document is really helpful when teachers, administrators and parents are having conversation about the two pathways.
