Champ's Theme for Red Pants Writing
Champ's Theme was developed to educate students about self-regulation throughout their day. Within the song, selective Champ's Warm-Up Card exercises are introduced, and the associated movements are practiced in rhythm. Students learn several things they can try to speed their bodies up or slow their bodies down to be successful in their daily life.

The next several tracks contain a developing series of sound samples. Trust me, you'll be excited about these because the kids will love doing the movements/motions. They are a great way to release pent-up energy after a long and/or rainy day. My class thinks of TV and movie characters that the sound bites in “10. Make you Move” relate to and moves accordingly. I wrote this song when I was Principal at Takena elementary school. Most of the kids visiting my office were sent there because they had given in to frustration and lashed out at teachers or other students.
Intended for kids from 1st grade to 5th grade, this song is all about controlling frustration in the lunch line, frustration on the playground, with your Mom, your Dad, or even your Principal.
I found the song was helpful for some of my most frequent visitors in the Principal's office.

Time-Out Song for Red Pants Writing
This song was prepared with breaks in the music, allowing students to focus on "freeze" their bodies when the music pauses. The breaks are incrementally longer and difficult to predict, keeping novelty present during associated movement activities. Children are encouraged to move in all planes of motion (e.g. up, down, left, right, forward, backward, spin), as well as to move at differing levels of speed (e.g. fast, slow).

This song was developed to educate children about the importance of preparing their brains/bodies for learning activities. Within the song, selective Champ's Warm-Up Card exercises are introduced, and the associated movements practiced in rhythm. While preparing the muscles/brain for optimal performance, children learn how to self-regulate their bodies and focus their attention during the learning activities to follow.

This is a song that offers a playful and upbeat way to teach children about the topic of how to manage difficult emotions, especially anger. It is adapted from the Soles of the Feet protocol for anger management, and relates to the extension practice of a modified version of the protocol.

It's OK to Feel Yucky song
This song teaches about self-compassion as it speaks to giving oneself permission to have a tough day and experience emotions such as anger and sadness, as these emotions are part of the human condition. It also teaches about the concept of impermanence in that emotions come and go. It can be sung with the Feelings Finder tools as a prop to illustrate emotions coming and going.
