Winter Science Lab: Let It Grow! Snowflake Science Activity - SMART- Grades 5-8
This lab will add some fun to your classroom during the winter season while allowing students to learn about the scientific method! Students will be introduced to the scenario where Elsa is wanting to decorate her castle with beautiful homemade snowflakes. Floam Recipe Activity
This is a Smart Board presentation with step-by-step picture instructions on how to make floam, which is a styrofoam-goo mixture. The consistency is like ooblek. It's made of styrofoam cups, borax, glue, water, and (optional) food coloring.
I had my middle school students in the multiple disabilities self-contained classroom complete these steps with the help of my paraprofessional.
