Capture the Flag by Kate Messner Novel Study and American History Study
This product is a novel study for the book Capture the Flag by Kate Messner. Social Studies is easily integrated into this unit due to the content of the novel. The story is a mystery about the flag that inspired the song "The Star-Spangled Banner" being stolen. Three kids go on an adventurous search for the stolen flag. Throughout the text there are historical references to Revolutionary Americans, American Symbols, American History, and American Government.
