Vietnam War Battle Project -Students Research a Battle, CCSS
This is a project in which students research a key battle from America's involvement in the Vietnam War and input the information either on a poster or in a slideshow. Students will sign up for a battle of their choice to learn about the background, timeline, event, outcome, historical analysis, legacy, and will culminate in their own reflection.This project can be done individually or collaboratively in groups. DBQ: Opium and the Anglo-Chinese Wars, 1839-1842 and 1856-1860
Students will formulate an argument defending, attacking, or qualifying the statement that the British wars in China during the late 17th century were justified by commercial interests and expansionism. Students will use primary and secondary documents provided in the lesson to locate evidence that supports their position. Identification of the perspectives of the documents' authors are also highlighted in the lesson.
