Representations of the Divine in Film (ERC Smartboard pres and activities)
I used this Smartboard presentation when teaching Representations of the Divine in secondary 2 Ethics and Religious Culture.
This presentation explores how the Divine is represented in film and includes some cooperative learning activities you can do as a class. This presentation explores elements of film as well as the divine experience. Major themes in religion are also discussed, such as temptation and Good vs. Evil. Links to movie clips are provided.

In 2011, the USDA and First Lady Michelle Obama released the new food icon which replaced the food pyramid. This interactive smartboard lesson teaches children to identify fruits, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy. It encourages them to have fun with healthy food choices. This is a 42 page Smart Notebook Unit on Multiculturalism in Canada. It not only celebrates Canada and our values, but it compares it on the world stage to other countries. This is a great lesson to show students, so they can see the benefits and advantages of growing up in a First World Country.

Islamophobia Ethics
I used this SmartBoard presentation immediately after teaching the Holocaust with my ERC class (grade 10).
This lesson explores how hate is still prevalent in today's society. I've included my lesson plan, please see "product preview". This presentation discusses phobia and looks at how Islam is discriminated against- both in a direct and indirect fashion.
