What is Religion?: Introduction to World Religions International Baccalaureate
This Keynote Unit encompasses the philosophical and anthropological introduction to conceptualizing the study of religion. It is intended as an intro for an International Baccalaureate World Religions course but could be used otherwise.
It addresses themes such as: The etymology of religion, religion vs. spirituality, definition of religion, academic methodology of studying religion, origins of religion, and the purpose of religions.

This exercise ask ToK students to work in groups to design their own IB curriculum. What subjects should be mandatory? What subjects should be optional? Why?
