Description
Studying the Newbery winners for 2000-2009?
I use this presentation. I do a Book Talk on each book, and when I get to a book that some of the students know, they love to add their views of the book!
NEWBERY WINNERS:
2009: The Graveyard Book
2008: Good Masters! Sweet Ladies!
2007: The Higher Power of Lucky
2006: Criss Cross
2005: Kira-Kira
2004: The Tale of Despereaux:
2003: Crispin: The Cross of Lead
2002: A Single Shard
2001: A Year Down Yonder
2000: Bud, Not Buddy
I like introducing the books this way, so I don't have to hold all the books until I teach this to all of my classes. This way, the students can sign the books out and start reading them.
I also use these as Printables - handouts for various projects, and even for colorful bulletin boards!
Be sure to check out some of my other digital items for the other Newbery winners!
