This project is designed to go with the events/causes leading up to the American Revolution. Along with the directions is a rubric I designed that was formed for this project. The students are to design a creative propaganda poster depicting one of the key events/causes of the American Revolution to try and persuade an audience of what occurred. Use your knowledge of propaganda during the Revolution to assist you in explaining this to the students.

Hexagonal Thinking - Regional Differences between the North and the South
Allow students to explore the regional differences between the North and the South through hexagonal thinking. Collaborative pairs/groups arrange the hexagonal cards to discover patterns and relationships. Once finished, pairs/groups create a summary of their arrangement. After the summary, I like to send a student out (the reporter) to visit with the other groups. Group members share their summaries with the reporter who then reports back to his group. Any revisions can be made if necessary.
