$10,000 AWARDED Service-Learning Grant--Great Example to Help You Write Yours!
I wished I had an example of a grant to help me when I wrote this one. I searched and searched for a grant to use as an example; I had nothing to help me except for the county grant guru! I am proud of this and have received several since in the total amount of $11,500. I am so comfortable writing grants, I enjoy doing so as it feels like winning the lottery when awarded. I now help the county review grants.

I’ve had over $70,000 awarded in grant funding in the last six years. I seek funding EVERYWHERE, locally, at the state level, and nationally. I have written grants for a variety of things: general arts supplies, supplies for specific projects, supplies for large scale renovation (murals, installation of outdoor art), stage curtains, teaching artist residencies, etc. I enjoy the challenge of grant writing. I have had over 50 funded grants. This three page application entitled winners to direct student services, professional development and planning support in the amount of $10,300 for the Spring 2014. Over 60 schools applied for this grant and only 6 were funded. This grants makes a cross curriculum connection of the arts, both performance and creative, to a student's whole academic and personal experiences.
