Enjoy this terrific project which helps students learn how many pints, cups, and quarts are in a gallon. There is a Mr. and Mrs. Gallon that your students can create. It also can help students in practice listening to and following directions while creating his or her gallon man. I usually explain how Mr. or Mrs. Gallon is made before hand and put him and her together while explaining that gallon equals 4 quarts, 1 quart is equivalent to 8 pints, etc. Then, I pass out only the needed pieces
