Journals: Rhetoric for the week
Here are seven warm-up journals that present prompts with rhetorical concepts, questions, and analysis. I created these for my AP English Language class, but I have used them with SAS 7th graders to RSP seniors. Prompts are meant to evoke critical thinking and hopefully inspire journal writing that reflects such.

Ready Common Core (I-Ready) Fifth Grade Reading Lesson 13
The google slides presentation, pairs with the lesson. The teacher projects the slides and students follow along using their devices. This is a great distance learning learning option as well. I use pear deck. It is a free app where students can have the google slides presentation on their laptops in front of them. Grammar Mini Lesson
This is a package deal! It includes the requirements for students to come up with their own grammar mini lesson. There is a rubric, and a sample power point presentation on how the mini lesson should be set up.
Students must create a presentation explaining a grammar term, using examples of the term, incorporating a video/game for reinforcement, applying the skill with practice questions, and citing their online sources. These are explained in detail on the requirement sheet.

Muffin to worry about Testing Tags
I am using this to tag on my breakfast muffins for our ELA state test. It is a powerpoint edible resource.Printing 4 slides per page, so it will print 4 tags per page! Happy testing!
