Here are seven warm-up journals that present prompts with rhetorical concepts, questions, and analysis. I created these for my AP English Language class, but I have used them with SAS 7th graders to RSP seniors. Prompts are meant to evoke critical thinking and hopefully inspire journal writing that reflects such.

This is a package deal! It includes the requirements for students to come up with their own grammar mini lesson. There is a rubric, and a sample power point presentation on how the mini lesson should be set up. Students must create a presentation explaining a grammar term, using examples of the term, incorporating a video/game for reinforcement, applying the skill with practice questions, and citing their online sources. These are explained in detail on the requirement sheet.
