This is one of 2 introductory lessons into sorting and categorization. Essentially children look at a field of 4 pictures and choose the one that is different and doesn't belong. When they select the appropriate picture it plays a reinforcing sound. The pictures begin very basic and get more complex as you go into the chart.

Making comparisons Full vs Empty Flipchart

In this activity, students look at a few examples of items that are full or empty and then have a field of 2 in which they select the one that is full or empty. Counting and Shapes using Insects
This multipage flipchart for Pre-K/ Kindergarten uses various bugs and insects to practice counting and work with shapes. I have worksheets and other activities available to go with the flipchart. For a reading component, I highly recommend using the book, "The Big Book of Bugs" with 3D glasses. The students love using the glasses to look at the pictures and it ties in nicely with a science theme and math.

Bowling for Subtraction
