ENTIRE YEARs Vocabulary and Graphic Organizers

This is a workbook that I keep in my room for each student all year long. It includes vocabulary that will work for most textbooks and students in grades 7, 8, and 11. It is excellent for bell work assignments and keeps all that vocab in the same place for students to study for tests and major exams. As my administrator said during an observation "this is amazing! I've never seen anything like it." This is more expensive since it works for the ENTIRE YEAR and is easy to adapt for your textb

Publisher version-Cornell Style Math Notes Template

Word Document-I created this notes template for my middle school math classes to teach them important note taking skills. It is designed in the Cornell Two Column Note style, however has some specific requirements I feel are important for my classes. It includes a field for students to record the Demonstration of Learning for the lesson as well as the Big Idea. It contains two columns including one page with graph paper. Weekly Homework Packet Cover

This homework packet cover is wonderful for keeping students on target with their homework. You can fix it how you like. Change it up or even leave the spaces blank so students can write their own assignments in. You will definitely need to change the name unless your last name is the same as mine.:) I created this when I was student teaching and I have used in for four years now! It is in a Microsoft Publisher format. Hope you enjoy!

ACT TRACKER (HIGH/LOW--FAST/SLOW)

This is an ACT tracker that I created for my students on Publisher. I call it high/low--fast/slow. We practice two of each piece on the Reading portion of the test and do a "Quick Write" or "Power Write" in between each. This allows students to keep track of their scores and word count and at the end of the unit they can determine which pieces they do best on and what particular order they should do them in on the real ACT test. The Quick Writes or Power Writes (from Angela Hilterbrand) help

SuperStar Homework: Test Review Activity

This activity encourages students to review materials for a small number of minutes over several days instead of cramming for a test the night before. IT accumulates "stars", earned by doing varying levels of activities. Percentage of stars earned by the class determines the number of minutes a review game will be played in class. This activity can be customized for any grade level, subject, and resource availability.
