TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have recently retired from teaching. The majority of my experience has been in middle school, and I am certified to teach both Language Arts and Social Studies. I have an eclectic collection of ideas to offer, ranging from young adult literature and writing to world geography.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style is hands-on and interdisciplinary with a focus on trying to develop an instinctual curiosity for lifelong learning. I tend to be a facilitator, rather than "the sage on the stage."

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I obtained my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Utah State University. I received my Master's of Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Does the thought of coming up with yet another differentiated, interdisciplinary, tiered, creative, hands-on activity that covers all 37 learning styles in your classroom terrify you? Never fear; Aunt D is here.
