Zero the Hero snack letters
This can be used as a fun way to celebrate 10 days of school until you get to the 100th day of school. You can put this note with a round (like a zero) treat in a mystery bag. As you do calendar, pull the note out, read it, and then pass out the treat. As the students are eating, they can fill out the ten frame. Tens and Ones Firefly Hunt
Students practice identifying numbers represented in tens and ones. They record their thinking using a number sentence (10+2=12). The fireflies are arranged in groups of ten in a jar with some left out. This is designed as a move around the room activity.
