This is a multi-level shape activity that uses 3D and 2D shapes. I use this for shape hunts in my classroom but many other uses are possible! It includes the names of the shapes for those who can read or are learning to read.

This package is a hands on activity student can do to learn why triangles are a strong shape. Students will get an understanding when the two sides of the triangle are compression (squeezed). The third side of the triangle is pulled, or stretched sideways. Another word for this stretching is tension. After this assignment student will understand triangles are extremely important shapes when it comes to engineering.
