CIVIL WAR BATTLE Tri-fold Research Report
Students will choose one battle of the American Civil War and research essential information about it. A list of battles is included. A detailed student hand-out leads them through the process. Students choose one battle of the American Revolution and create a tri-fold style research report for that battle. I have created two versions of a front page and one inner page for the tri-fold I include a list of battles and a rough draft page students may use to set up their information before putting it onto the tri-fold.

Learning Challenge: A Time of Dynasties: Ancient China
This is a student-centered group learning challenge that puts the learning in the students' laps. A classroom is divided into groups of 3-4 students, and each group must choose a leader to guide the learning challenge.

Skills Based Rubric - Formal Paragraph
A skills based rubric for historical formal paragraph writing. This rubric does not focus on 'points' earned, but rather specific skills that can be leveled up with the clear and specific feedback the rubric provides. If you choose to use this as a grading tool, a level 2 can be graded as a 75, level 3 as an 85, and level 4 as a 95+.
