This lesson, part of a larger unit on World War I, focuses on the Constitutionality of the Espionage and Sedition Acts, which were signed into law by Woodrow Wilson with the aim of squashing wartime dissent. Students will read and analyze primary source excerpts from both to the acts and answer open ended questions that follow. Lastly, students will read the First Amendment of the Constitution
