I usually do this activity at the beginning of the year. I use it as a getting to know you activity and building relationships with students. They compare and contrast each other. Then on paper plates, they draw a picture of their friend. With the compare and contrast, the teacher may need to model first so that the children have a model to go by when completing the activity. My students love this activity.
