This unit is a blast with middle school students! Throughout the unit, learn about the history of jingles through familiar examples. Explore how jingle writing changed over the years with technology, and other methods the music industry uses to advertise products. Summarize the unit by having students try their own hand at writing their own short jingle. My students get especially excited about this unit when I introduce it with a "Guess the Jingle" YouTube video.
