Students use common items to test the speed of falling from a certain height. Students also create a line graph during their analysis. This experiment is a fun way to remind students about this scientific method while incorporating math.

This is a chart I made in Excel for our light unit in Science. Students need to think about the 7 colors of the rainbow and determine which colors in the American flag are absorbed and which are reflected. Then they must explain what it means if a color of light is reflected/absorbed.
