These number cards use a wide range of representations. Examples are base ten blocks, dots, ten frames, expanded form, __ tens & __ ones, 10 more than __,.... These cards can be fully customizable to change any of the representations you don't want to use. You can even create more if you need to go higher than 50! Even included a couple of my students favorite card games to play.

Playing cards multiplication center

A simple multiplication center that will help allow continued reinforcement of 2 digit X 2 digit multiplication. Simply print and laminate the printable and you will have a reusable, sturdy, and simple ready to go math center. Students will use a deck of playing cards (remove aces, kings, queens, & jacks) to draw and place 4 cards on the mat and then multiple using a separate dry erase board or math journal. Students can use a calculator to check their work.

I have used these when working in Year 1 for morning tasks when children arrive into the school, as well as for carousel activities. I simply laminated the border, cut it out and stuck it onto a folded piece of card that could stand up on a table. I left a simple message about the task to complete so that children knew what they were required to do on each table. The border made the messages stand out. This worked especially well considering that the class I worked in was called 'Ladybird' class
