Dichos, adivinanzas y trabalenguas. Idioms, riddles and tongue twisters.
Dichos, adivinanzas y trabalenguas are culturally and lingustacally relevant for our emergent bilingual students. I use this activity as a class warm-up. Students write them in journals.I ask that they write a response that is two to three sentences long. I model the first few times. The tongue twisters are fun, students challenge each other to see who can say them faster without making mistakes.

Digital Interactive Dictionary - Comida/Food (frutas, verduras, carne)
