It works especially well with magazine and newspaper selections.I have included several useful websites, based on Kelly Gallagher's Article of the Week idea. I often give students the article a week in advance, so they have time to mark it up, complete the responses, and prepare for class discussion on Fridays. Sometimes students select an article to read with a partner. I also use NICENET for on-line discussions.
