I created this slide activity to use after we read the story Corduroy by Don Freeman. Slides 2-11 are counting out buttons for the bear. Students move the buttons onto the bear to match the numeral on his overalls. Slides 12-21 students will find the buttons that have the same number of holes as the number on the bear. They are asked to look at simple pictures created by shapes and check off the shapes they think I used to make them.
