Holiday Fun. Working with Percents solved with Proportions and Mental Shortcuts
Here is a fun PowerPoint activity with a holiday theme to use in December. In this lesson, students will be shopping for gifts, calculating sales commission, and determining the amount of weight lost by Santa! The lesson involves solving percentage problems with proportions. Next, you will be solving the same problem using mental math.
