Here is an organizer (with and without lines) that allows students to use temporal words to sequence and explain the steps on how to make ice cream in order. In my class, we read informational books on cows, and then we enjoyed making ice cream and eating it too! After, we completed this sequencing organizer and then the students transferred their ideas onto writing paper. They loved it and I hope your kiddos do to! I used this foldable in my kindergarten class. It covers the major four phases of the moon: new moon, crescent moon, half moon, and full moon. On the inside it gives the students a circle that they can use to color in what that phase of the moon looks like. When using this, I gave the students oreos and had them carve the filling to match the moon phase and then draw and color the phase on thier foldable.

This quote from the author explains the beauty of his books perfectly! “I believe that a good children's book should appeal to all people who have not completely lost their original joy and wonder in life. The fact is that I don't make books for children at all. I make them for that part of us, of myself and of my friends, which has never changed, which is still a child.” ― Leo Lionni This bundle includes two book companions: A Color of His Own Fish is Fish A Col
