Place Value Comparison Chart

This chart works great for students that need to visually see the numbers that they are comparing. The individualized column prevents some of the common mistakes students make when they write the numbers that they need to compare. Students can visually see the number in its corresponding place value column. Print back-to-back on cardstock paper. Laminate it and allow students to use dry erase markers to work out their problems.

These cards are designed to help students in the learning stages of place value to the hundred thousands place. It shows the place, standard form, written form and expanded form definitions and examples. These cards can be printed and laminated for individual students, or for a table or group of students to share. I print them and tape them to their desks with clear packing tape during the teaching process (removing before assessments). I also keep a couple of these laminated in math centers

This would be great if you have a student that needs additional support with place value when adding and subtracting. This is used to put the numbers in the correct place. Also, the small boxes can be used to use for carrying or borrowing.

This worked perfectly for my special education students. Print on cardstock and print it front and back. Laminate each sheet and students can use dry erase markers to work out their math problems.
