Do your students have mastery of their division facts? During the first week of school, I use this PowerPoint to assess which facts my students still need to memorize. This PowerPoint has 1-12. Again, like the multiplication PowerPoint, each slide has a 3-second wait time. For my more advanced students, they can use the mouse to click instead of waiting the 3 seconds. Along with the PowerPoint, download the free division checklist, which has the facts in the exact order as the PowerPoint.

Use this ordinal numbers template to create a handy classroom resource...I have printed mine onto coloured card, mounted onto funky paper and laminated them for display around the classroom.......You could also use them for a collaborative class activity where each student is given a card and they put themselves into order - without speaking (always a challenge!)

These flashcards are fun to use in my Order of Operations Relay Race (see my store), so that you can informally assess if students know PEMDAS and they have playing at the same time! You can also have students hold up the appropriate flashcard that matches a math key word (ex. difference; that flipchart is also in my store)

Rhyme With 9!

Do you need a fun rhyme to go with the 9's trick? I came up with this rhyme one day when I wanted something to go with the paper hand cutouts that I keep seeing everywhere! I had the kiddo's trace their hands, cut them out, and glue them palm down (so they can use the fingers for the trick). They love it!
