Kid-Friendly Narrative Writing Rubric
This is a rubric that uses kid-friendly terms for commonly expected standards in a narrative writing. It uses the visual of ice cream scoops to illustrate the scores of 4, 3, 2, or 1.

Compound Sentences
This worksheet can be used as independent practice and/or assessment. It contains 10 sentences. Students read the sentences and rewrite them using provided conjunctions to make one compound sentence. Emergent Writing Rubric
This is a rubric that can be used for emergent writers, around mid/end of Kinder through 2nd grade. Students can self-assess their piece of writing using the rubric, and then teacher/parent can assess using the bottom.
