In a Whodunnit?, students will work in teams to solve 10 practice problems that increase in difficult. A

Players must use all 5 numbers to create an equation (using any math operation / symbol) that equals (or gets closest) to the target number. Whoever gets closest wins that states’ votes. This particular relay race has students practice Order of Operations (no variables) using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents, fractions, square root, and absolute value. I used it as a first week warm up for my 11th grade Advanced Algebra class, but it could easily be used for younger grades as well.

Worksheet to review adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational functions. I assigned this to my Algebra 2 class as a practice assignment. Could also be used as a collaborative practice, homework assignment, or extra time-filler. I asked my students to complete the work on a separate sheet of paper and then we reviewed the answers as a class. I gave my students 45 minutes (11 problems total), then took 15 minutes to review for a total of approximately one hour.
