Dear Teachers, This lesson plan was created for busy teachers like you. I want you to enjoy it. I know that you will be teaching Homophones this semester and that is why I decided to give you a helping hand. I know you don't have the time to do much planning as a result I place activities in every area of the lesson plan from engage to evaluation.The activities are there to ensure that all objectives are met. This lesson investigates assimilated prefixes. When a consonant sound and letter at the end of the prefix change to be exactly the same as the sound and letter at the beginning of the base, you have a full assimilation. In some words the consonant sound and letter in the prefix change enough to be more similar to the sound and letter at the beginning of the base but not exactly like it and this is a partial assimilation.
