Philosophers of Ancient Greece: Socrates, Plato, Sophocles, Aristotle: Readings
Students will be introduced to the four main philosophers of ancient Greece (Sophocles, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle). Students will critically examine two notable quotations from each philosopher, asking what they felt the message of each idea meant. Next, students will write and share whether they agree with each of the philosophical thoughts. Lastly, students will read an article from a fictional newspaper that details the trial and ultimate death of Socrates.Updated December 2023 to include

In this lesson students will be introduced to the ELA strategy of perspective. Students will be taught this through, as well as how perspective differs from point of view, through a teacher model and independent practice. Moses (Musa) in Islam: Reading Passages + Comprehension Activities
