I teach a 7th grade connections (elective class) called Writing Enrichment. Our focus this quarter is research, argumentative writing, expository writing, and project-based learning. The students research events that took place on their birthdays, write various articles on the events utilizing different writing genres, and put everything together in a newspaper.
