I have evaluated 200+ of my picture book library and sorted them by reading skills. The download is editable so you can easily add your collection to the list and modify it to suit your needs! Included in the download is a sheet that has all the books sorted by title and another sorted by author. This sheet can be useful as you plan shared reading, interactive read alouds, or guided reading lessons. As I collect more books, I will add them to the spreadsheet.Reading Skills Listed:CharacterAs

This Excel File is as informative and versatile as you can get! Using your Fountas & Pinnell Benchmarking kit, conduct your class benchmarking as you normally would. Then, enter each child's highest instructional level on their own individual report. Benchmarks are built into the program that will automatically turn your data Yellow (if the child is on the border of falling behind) or Red (if the child is below the recommended level). The benchmarks are automatically updated based on the

DIBELS DRA DSA Literacy Assessment Growth and Loss Data Reporting Form

This data reporting form was a creation of mine in response to the demand for growth and loss reporting with regard to student data. I needed a form that was simple to use, well organized, and that showed growths and losses for the data measures being used at my school. This particular form covers the reporting of Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA), DIBELS (specifically Oral Reading Fluency and Word Use Fluency), and the Developmental Spelling Assessment (DSA). Within each running record space you can record the accuracy percentage, self-correction rate, comprehension score and fluency score. This format allows you to see how your students are growing from running record to running record. This is a great resource to pass on to other teachers or to use for RTI to show growth or lack of growth. *If you want

Editable Excel file. Use one per student and save where both you and they can access it. During Independent Reading, students record their reading in the log and add new or challenging words and definitions to their Word List. During a conference with the teacher or aide, the teacher/aide fills in the Conference page. Examples of where this can be saved: In MS Teams in the student's private channel so only you and they can access it; in a shared folder on the school's system. Suitable for a

Guided Reading Book Log and Focus

This form helps me keep track of the books I've taught to each guided reading group and what our instructional focus was with each book. It gives me a much better overview when planning long-term and seeing growth and any areas I need to go back and teach.

Reading Record Form

This is a great tool for keeping track of the books students read. Each student has their own form, and all forms are kept in a "reading record" binder. The students fill out the form each time they finish a book. They love to receive this form at the end of the year to show-off how much they read. It's also a great reference for you.
