These are some of the most common prefixes used. I created a poster for each with the prefix, meaning and example. I printed mine using my classroom colors and then backed them on card stock. Since I am using these for hanging in my classroom, I also laminated them. I find that it is another resource for my struggling readers to use when searching for the meaning of unfamiliar words. Tic-Tac-Toe with Dice Game
This game can be used for any foreign language class. Students are in pairs and receive one dice. They also receive a handout with several tic-tac-toe boards. On the board/handout, the teacher will write the 6 verbs required to conjugate with the dice. Students roll the dice, determine the verb needed to conjugate, and then choose a place on the tic-tac-toe board to write the conjugation. If the student is correct, they can place their X or O on the board. The game continues until someone wins.
