This fun activity is a container/sort activity flipchart made with Activinspire software. Students decide whether the word or phrase are good or bad for the Earth and drag the word or phrase to the correct globe. If it belongs there a sound will play. Great resource for 2nd or 3rd graders who are chapter book hesitant or even over-confident in their abilities and are picking chapter books much too hard for them.

This is a very simple, six slide Flipchart that I use to introduce each of the sections in our library. I use this to prep students to use the computer catalog. The sections in my library are Everybody (usually Easy in other libraries), Chapter Books (FIC), Dewey (Nonfiction), and Biography. I call renamed our Easy section "Everybody" so that older kids (3-6) do not feel stigmatized about selecting books from that section. I also call our nonfiction section "Dewey" to cut down on confusion since
