I used this Bingo sheet in conjunction with my game Allez pêcher where I taught students winter clothing vocabulary words. After practicing the game, we played bingo. Students were told to choose from the 12 vocabulary words and write down at least 2 vocab words and draw the rest. Then we played a very fun game of bingo!

I have tried this game with students of different ages and they all love it. The game is a board game with simple questions that they must answer in complete sentences of course. If they land on a red square, they must also pick an action card. The action cards are like brain breaks. There are actio

Tu or vous? Helping pupils decide when to use tu, and when to use vous

For a non-native French speaker, especially one with a native language with only one form for "you", knowing when to use "tu" and when to use "vous" can be a minefield. But this small game for in class can help. In small groups, pupils have a printout of the page with tu and vous written on, and the other page with the scenarios which they need to cut out. They then need to read the scenarios, and decide if they would use "tu" or "vous" in each case and why.

This is a great activity for the first day of school in a French immersion classroom! After the summer, students are often shy to speak in French. This activity is a fun way to get students speaking French and getting to know each other. Students will walk around the room and ask each other questions from the Bingo. If someone responds "oui", that person signs that square. You can tell students that they can only use a person's name once, so they need to speak to many classmates.
