I created this prezi as an engagement tool. The prezi guides the students in understanding how to compare fractions that have the same denominator.The students were given opportunities to use smart board pens to illustrate the fractions strips so that they and the rest of our class could visually see the fractions and compare them as a whole group activity. This prezi could also be used as a review for students that may be struggling.

Fractions are explained as parts of a group during this Prezi. The presentation is given on a battleship format. During the Prezi students are asked to create fractions about themselves as a whole group. To make the fractions more realistic I called a group of students to the front and had the students still seated come up with the numerators and denominators for the students standing in front of them.
