This thinking routine encourages children to zoom in on particular aspects of a picture or photograph. It is important to only reveal one aspect of the picture at each stage so that the children can make inferences about what they can see. This is a template which includes a task that I've done to show you how it works. Firstly, do this as a whole class with a picture or photograph on a large screen. Only reveal one aspect of the picture or photograph at each stage, cover the rest. Discuss
