Superhero Research Project - Distance learning friendly
This project is one that will encourage cross-curricular learning. There is a blend of history, art, and literature within this research project. Students will research a superhero, how they changed overtime, and what those changes show about the society they were created in. This has the project instructions, rubric, and example included. I would link this to King Arthur legends as I teach mostly British literature but it could be used without linking it.

Infographics are used in all areas of print media and information. Knowing how to read and create infographics are important in this digital age our students are growing up in. This lesson develops the skills of:main ideasummary writingparaphrasing creating and using data. The lesson is written to focus on the development of their own idea or interests, however it can be easily adapted to a final project after a research unit. The flexibility is easy for differentiation as well.

Brochure Writing Assignment
I use this assignment with my Technical Writing students. They have to create a fake business, and then create a professional looking brochure to try to attract new customers. Includes rubric. We use Microsoft Publisher, but it will work with several different programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs and Slides. This assignment would also work with a business class or with graphic design students.
