Blended Learning Professional Development BINGO Dynamic Teaching

Pod cast Reviews- Homework Activity
Similarly to how a writer uses voice to shape meaning, a podcast must consider how to engage an audience through audio techniques. This homework or in class activity asks students to analyze pod casts with a focus on voice, tone, point of view, and audience. This webquest is a fun introduction to American English dialects and pronunciation. It could be used across several classes, though I use it with my Speech 101 class to introduce pronunciation exercises. The Webquest uses multiple links from the www.pbs.org "Sea to Shining Sea" site.
