Becoming a Knight: Webquest
Before diving into medieval literature, give students a working knowledge of knights, weapons, and chivalric code. This WebQuest allows students to learn about what makes a night, the history of knighthood, and the chivalric code. This resource can be used as independent work or stations as signs with QR codes are included. This is helpful for world history or literature courses. It is ideal before reading the Canterbury Tales or Don Quixote.

Google Earth: The Middle Ages
A great way to introduce the chapter, wrap up the chapter, buffer some time between your last bit of notes and the test, close out Friday or liven up Monday, this student-centered, technology-based, engaging activity will have you covered. I love these to start and end units or break from the notes. These make for easy planning on a Monday or Friday. I've found that this activity helps students engage, collaborate, build their skills and knowledge of the content and they actually enjoy doing

Students will be exploring the differences and similarities of Islam and Christianity in order to construct an argument for tolerance. We will also explore the legacy of Islam and how Islamic civilization contributed to today's society
The final product is a 5 paragraph essay on religious tolerance
