China Song

This kid-friendly China song teaches students geography, the Shang dynasty, and the Qin dynasty. Recording sings through once at tempo, then slowly for learning the melody. Then, I recite the words slowly to be sure you get the lyrics. My 6th graders LOVE my songs and come back years later to tell me that they still remember them.

Viva La Egypt - An educational parody for study/review of Ancient Egypt

I wrote this for 2nd graders who were studying Ancient Egypt. Viva La Vida, by Coldplay, was a popular song at the time and I was singing it one day and started changing the words to fit what we were learning. It correlates with 2nd grade Virginia SOL's, but would be a good beginning study for any primary aged student studying the basics of Ancient Egypt. I am not in any way profiting from this song and it is for educational use only. "From papyrus they made paper, with a water clock they

Hey There Ancient China - A Parody for Ancient China Primary Studies

This is an educational parody that I am offering for free. When I taught 2nd grade we studied Ancient China and their inventions, and I always wanted to do a parody of the Plain White Tees "Hey There Delilah" and change it to Hey Ancient China. I hope your students like it and it helps them learn more about it! *I attest I am not profiting from this song due to copyright. ** thumbnail from www.theclipartwizard.com
