Calming Mindfulness Meditation Script for Testing (2-3 minutes)
Our school counselors have asked us to do mediation with student's before STAR testing, so this is the script I developed to use with students. The language seems best fitted for middle school or high school students, but could easily be adapted for elementary as well. Word Problems and Writing Project Based Learning
This project based learning activity asks students to create a word problem (anything from addition to division, depending on current instruction) and then write a script to show how the student would teach this to a parent or classmate. Teachers have the option to incorporate technology using the "Show Me" app on the iPad. Students can actually record their "lesson" on the live whiteboard using the app. Videos can be posted to classroom websites to share with parents.

Vocabulary Script
I generally use this script for small groups. On the activity is a vocabulary bank for the words used in the script. I usually assign 8-10 vocabulary words (used correctly) to be written into the dialogue. It is a fun activity that helps each students review their vocabulary words in my Civics and History classes. It can be edited to add more spaces for vocabulary or change the name on the Film clapper. This is a great tool for reviewing vocabulary.
